Boys Win Convincingly; Triple Win Output From Last Year
Humboldt, Iowa – The Humboldt Boys soccer team is creating some waves through central Iowa. A year after going 1-17, the Wildcats picked up win number three, an 8-2 thrashing of the Carroll Tigers.
Humboldt’s offensive attack was paced by Alex Gonzales who scored three goals, Lucas Volf also netted a hat trick for the Cats.
Senior Nate Wright got in on the scoring barrage, as did Aaron Moctezuma. Humboldt is now 3-2 on the season and resumes their regular season schedule Friday with a home match versus Garner-Hayfield-Ventura.

Girls Stumble To Second Consecutive Loss
Humboldt, Iowa – The Humboldt Girls soccer team suffered their second consecutive loss, 6-0 to Mason City yesterday evening.
Senior Forward Kaitlin O’Neill had five goals for the Mohawks, Katie Cooling had the other.
Humboldt had created opportunities, yet did not finish in the critical moments.
The Wildcats are off until Thursday when the begin a three-game road trip beginning Thursday evening at Aplington-Parkersburg.
