National Weather Service Says Humboldt County Still in Advanced Threat for Storms

Humboldt, Iowa – Heavy rains continued to fall Tuesday evening and into the morning hours Wednesday for most of Humboldt County.

The National Weather Service in Des Moines issued a hazardous weather outlook report this morning that still includes Humboldt County.

The report states that there is an enhanced risk in the county for strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

It also mentioned the possibility of isolated, weak tornadoes. Heavy winds, large hail and heavy rainfall are possible as well.

Rainfall amounts Monday night into Tuesday were approximately .3″ and Humboldt County could see upwards of 1″ of rain again Wednesday and Thursday.
