Lane’s 20 Isn’t Enough as Lady Wildcats Drop 5th Straight

Iowa Falls, Iowa — Sydney Lane’s season best 20 points wasn’t enough, as the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadet girls’ basketball team defeated Humboldt last night 52-44.

Iowa Falls held a two-point. 28-26 halftime lead, but outscored Humboldt by five in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Lane scored her 20 points on 10-17 shooting and also secured a team-high nine rebounds. Mady Lange also finished in double figures with 11 points and 6 rebounds, while Ashlyn Clark helped out with 7 points.

Humboldt has not won since a road victory on January 19th at Fort Dodge Saint Edmond.

The loss Tuesday night wrapped up Humboldt’s North Central Conference season, they will close their regular season tomorrow (Thursday) at home versus Belmond-Klemme.

Humboldt will open post-season play at Algona, Saturday night at 7:00.
