Boys Basketball Falls at Carroll, Drops to 8-12

Carroll, Iowa – The Humboldt Boys Basketball team see-sawed back in forth with Carroll for the better part of 3 1/2 quarters in yesterday’s non-conference road match-up.

However it was, the Carroll Tigers running away with the contest down the final stretch to cruise to a 66-47 win over Humboldt.

The Wildcats entered the fourth quarter down 43-40, but the 23-7 quarter run was too much to handle. Carroll Senior Kolby Molinsky led the way with 24 points, pacing all scorers in the contest. Dayton Ross had 14 for the Tigers.

Humboldt was led by Senior Devon Clark who had 11 points, while fellow Senior Ryan Courtney chipped in with 10 points before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.

Wildcat Senior Guard Drew Thomas was battling flu-like symptoms for most of the first and second halves and was seen running into the locker room tunnel numerous times.

Humboldt is off until Thursday, when they conclude their season at home versus Storm Lake. That game begins at 7:45.
