Humboldt, Iowa – Long-time Livermore resident Dallas Clark and actor Ashton Kutcher are once again teaming up to provide a benefit concert for the Native Fund.
“The Native Fund is committed to raising funds and organizing resources that can be used to assist the people of Iowa in their times of need. Specifically, The Native Fund will provide assistance and relief through its financial and programmatic resources to Iowans suffering from a natural disaster, to Iowa’s post-9/11 veterans of the United States Armed Forces who are in need medical or other assistance, and to Iowa children afflicted with life-threatening illness or disease” the duo’s official website says.
Clark and Kutcher funded the idea after “feeling hopeless” watching the devastating flood tragedy of 2008 in Cedar Rapids.
This summer Clark and Kutcher have recruited the help of Metallica to play a benefit concert in the fund’s name. Last year Clark and Kutcher packed 45,000 people into Kinnick Stadium for the first ever concert at the Hawkeyes Football stadium for Brantley Gilbert.
This year’s benefit concert will be June 9th at the Iowa Speedway in Newton. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, April 21st.
