Accident On Highway 169 Kills One Monday Night

Badger, Iowa — One person was killed Monday evening in Webster County on Highway 169.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. just north of Fort Dodge near Badger. The wreck involved a Honda van and a pick up truck, with the van ending up on the east side of Highway 169.

One was person was killed as a result of the accident with the name of the victim being withheld at this time. The other person, who was unnamed as well, was transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge for treatment.

The highway was completely shut down in both direction for a little more than an hour following the accident.

The accident remains in investigation.

The Iowa State Patrol, Badger Fire Department, Clare Fire Department, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Dodge Police, and Trinity Regional Medical Center paramedics all assisted with the accident.
