Humboldt Man Charged in Burglary String

Humboldt, Iowa — Beginning in October of 2017, the Humboldt Police Department received numerous reports of vehicle and garage burglaries within Humboldt.

As a result, an investigation was initiated by the Humboldt Police Department along with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation revealed that 21-year-old Kyle Egdorf of Humboldt, was involved in the burglaries.

Humboldt Law Enforcement obtained arrest warrants for Egdorf in regards to his involvement in the burglaries.

On Friday, February 21st, Egdorf was arrested and charged with five counts of burglary in the 3rd degree, a Class D felony and nine counts of burglary to a motor vehicle an aggravated misdemeanor.

Egdorf is being held in the Humboldt County Jail on $48,000 bond.
