Humboldt, Iowa — Bank Iowa is now accepting applications for the annual Spirit of Chandy Scholarship Program now through March 5th.
The program is set to award $500 to one high school boy and girl in each of the bank’s seven areas — totaling 21 awards.
Last year, Humboldt’s Kate Curran and Ivan Rasmussen were selected.
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of academics, character, leadership, honors, and participation in school and community activities.
Students must craft an essay which will better describe their strengths and career goals, and must also submit a letter of recommendation.
