Humboldt, Iowa —Kiddie Cats Childcare and Learning Center has officially announced the hiring of new director Heather Bergman, who takes over immediately.
Bergman, originally from Britt, has served as an assistant at the Britt daycare for about three years.
The hiring of Bergman comes on the heels of the originally hired director leaving earlier this year for a teaching position in the Eagle Grove School District.
The combination of the early opening, the former director leaving and an understaffed operation left a lot of questions for Kiddie Cats, however the hiring of Bergman signals stability now as she assumes the role of the face of the daycare.
Bergman met with KHBT and the Humboldt Independent, last Friday to discuss the new role and the impact she hopes to have on the kids, staff and community.
