Livermore Man Charged with Murder Following Invesitgation of Lu Verne Death

Lu Verne, Iowa — A Livermore man was taken into custody with charges stemming from a suspicious death in Lu Verne, Monday, law enforcement officials say.

60-year-old, Jeffrey Winters of Livermore was charged with 1st degree murder in the death of 54-year-old Lu Verne native, Randy M. Page.

Page was found unresponsive in his house Monday, found by his wife.

Winters was arrested late Tuesday night in Mason City, officials say.

He is currently being held on $2 million cash-only bond at the Kossuth County Jail.

The cause of death is unknown at this time as the state awaits an autopsy on Page.

The Iowa DCI and Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
