Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt Police Department confirms that there were no injuries reported following a Friday accident.
The accident occurred near Jerry Hatcher Road and Highway 3, law enforcement officials say.
According to the report, Officer David Jones was dispatched for the accident. Upon arriving he met with 24-year-old Kayla Tille, who informed him she was in the turning lane when the vehicle beside her began to back up hitting her vehicle.
The officer then spoke to Medrano Ocampo, 30, of Wells, Minnesota. Ocampo stated that a semi was turning onto Jerry Hatcher Road and he thought that there was not enough room for it to make the turn so he began backing and hit the vehicle beside him.
No citations were issued as a result of the accident.
Only minor damages were reported to the Humboldt Police Department.
