Humboldt, Iowa — Well that was fun.

Humboldt jumped out to a 9-2 lead and never looked back, outscoring Manson 24-9 in the second half en route to a dominating 56-25 win last night.

The Wildcats are 1-0 on the young season.

Jamison Heinz led the balanced scoring attack with 15 points, including drilling two 3’s.

Calvin Carlson added 8 points, while Jacob Thurm chipped in with 7.

Riley Peters led Manson’s scoring attack with 8 points. He left the game in the second half with an apparent ankle injury. The Cougars scored just one point in the third quarter.

Humboldt will be off until next Monday, when they’ll play host to Ogden.

Manson fell to 0-2. They will re-group and take on Pocahontas Area this Friday at home.
