Hampton, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat girls’ basketball team fell to 2-4 and 0-3 in the North Central Conference following a 65-29 loss last night at Hampton-Dumont.

The Bulldogs used a 24-4 second quarter run to pull away from Humboldt after the Cats kept it close after the first.

Hampton’s defensive pressure swarmed Humboldt, forcing oodles of turnovers leading to easy points.

Calista Polk led the way for the Bulldogs with 16 points. Courtney Miller chipped in with 14.

Humboldt will be off Wednesday and Thursday before resuming their North Central Conference schedule at home versus Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.

You can hear that game, Friday night, on the Bolt.

Tip-off is set for 6:15 p.m.
