KHBT — Yesterday the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union announced the road to the Well.
The IGHSAU released 1A, 2A and 3A pairings and the Humboldt Wildcat girls basketball team (3-12, 0-9) now knows their first round opponent.
Humboldt will battle with Roland-Story on Saturday, February 9th in Story City as part of 3A Region 2.
Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
The top half of the bracket sees #1 seed Clear Lake hosting Pocahontas Area, with Kuemper Catholic squaring off with Southeast Valley.
The other matchup on the bottom of the bracket is Carroll vs. Greene County.
Other notable NCC schools in 3A include #1 seed Algona taking on OABCIG as a part of 3A Region 1. Iowa Falls-Alden is also a #1 seed in 3A Region 6. They’ll lock horns with South Hardin.
