Boys Basketball: Carlson Scorches Nets for 22 Points in Humboldt Win

Humboldt, Iowa — Calvin Carlson hit 6-of-8 from three-point land as the Humboldt Wildcat boys’ basketball team surged past Hampton-Dumont last night 76-38.

The Wildcats pulled away with ferocity in the second half, cruising to their 8th win.

They win puts them back over .500 in conference play with a record of 6-5.

Conference standings are as follows as the regular season marches into it’s twilight:

  2. Webster City – 12-6, 9-3
  3. Algona – 10-8, 8-3
  4. Humboldt – 8-8, 6-5
  5. Fort Dodge St. Edmond – 9-9, 7-6
  6. Iowa Falls-Alden – 6-9, 4-7
  7. Hampton-Dumont – 3-15, 2-11
  8. Clarion – 3-17, 1-13
