Humboldt, IA — The agenda for the next Humboldt County Supervisors meeting has been released and it features the members convening as the Board of Canvassers to approve the winning candidate for the Humboldt City Council Seat.

Matt Dominick unofficially won the majority of the vote in the special election that was held on Tuesday. Of the 156 votes that were cast, Dominick received 111 to win the majority. Dominick will be filling in the seat for the time being as the term for the current seat is set to end in December.

Jim Myers temporarily held the seat but decided to not run in the election after becoming the Ward 1 member back in June. Once the winner is finalized, they will be sworn into the seat that night at the Humboldt City Council meeting to officially become a member.

The County Supervisors meeting is this Monday at 8:30 am at the Humboldt County Courthouse.
