Humboldt, IA — The Humboldt County Supervisors met for their weekly meeting at the Humboldt County Courthouse yesterday morning.
Representatives from the Community & Family Resources in Fort Dodge came to propose a proclamation to have Humboldt County recognize September as National Recovery Month to bring awareness to those that need help in drug and alcohol recovery, and mental health. The motion was passed.
Next was County Engineer Ben Loots who had a few orders of business. First being to put on file the Humboldt County Official 2019 Fiscal Year Report of the County Highway Engineer.
Next was an approval of application to in work in the county right of way to Midland Power for Washington Avenue, south of 140th Street.
Two quotes were then approved to Electronic Specialties for entry door security at the Humboldt County Engineer office and to Fort Dodge Asphalt for slurry leveling in the spring for the county.
Both were passed but the slurry leveling was left with a stipulation of possibly billing leveling for P56 until July of next year to save costs.
Drainage District 11 Sub 5’s report hearing was then held and the report was approved as members and local farmers discussed the reclassification.
The project is still awaiting a final dollar amount to be approved but the board approved the report as is until the final figure could be finalized in the coming weeks.
The meeting closed with claims, accepting a resignation of jailer Tracy Siawalt effective September 6th, and committee reports.
