Fort Dodge, IA — On Saturday in Fort Dodge at the State Cross Country meet, the Humboldt boys cross country team finished 12th out of the 15 teams at the meet but did get a strong showing from Quinton Orr who finished 2nd individually with a time of 15:52.

Orr placed just behind ADM’s Nate Mueller who had a time of 15:45.

The next closest Wildcat to finish was Eric Wittrock who came in 41st for Humboldt.

Humboldt also got a final showing from Bryce Gidel as she finished 36th individually out of the 129 runners at the meet with a time of 19:56.

Gidel finishes her career with Humboldt as the only runner in North Central Conference history to be the individual champion four years in a row.

Gidel will take her talent to Iowa City to run for the University of Iowa next fall.

Here at KHBT we would like to congratulate all of the runners on this years cross country teams for another successful season.
