Humboldt, Iowa — Meals From the Heartland is set to make it’s 8th annual run in Humboldt this weekend and their goals have never been higher.
This year, the effort is to package over 180,000 meals — which is made possible by over $36,000 worth of donations.
Sometime this weekend they’ll also pack their one millionth meal, a milestone not going under the radar.
Cindy Edge and Jim Lemmenes are with the group, they spoke to KHBT about Meals From the Heartland, the initiative behind it, and where the meals are shipped to.
