Humboldt, Iowa — It was yet another successful year for Meals from the Heartland-Humboldt, as the groups together combined to package 181,656 meals this season.

Both the schools and community helped package those meals.

All told, the two entities combined to raise $36,331.20 for this years Meals from the Heartland.

According to Alan Goche the Humboldt Meals from the Heartland operation is the longest tenured outfit shy of Des Moines.

They’re also one of just four locations in the state of Iowa that have packaged over one million meals, a milestone they eclipsed this week.

The Team for Hungry and the Ministerial Association will meet tonight (Tuesday) to discuss future goals for Meals for the Heartland. Both groups want to thank all those involved for all their help this season.
