Humboldt, Iowa — The Mobile Food Pantry came to the Humboldt Fairgrounds last week and the numbers were great, according to Board of Supervisors chair Bruce Reimers.

Reimers said that 95 families and 185 individuals came to the fairgrounds for the food pantry.

The leftover food was donated to the Renwick Church, according to Reimers.

The Mobile Food pantry delivers a customized load of food — including meat, vegetables, bread and non-perishable items.

According to their site, the Mobile Food Pantry program is “designed to provide a flexible food assistance resource in locations that don’t have access to traditional resources.”

The food pantry will return to Humboldt later this spring, with the nearest date set for May 9th. Following that it will return July 11th, September 12th and November 14th.
