Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt City Council has approved an agreement to enter into a fire protection services deal with neighboring townships in Humboldt County.
The deal had previously been of the one-year variety, however this contract will be three years in length — reason being city townships are now able to levy for fire protection services.
The rate will .6075 cents per thousand and includes Grove, Corinth, Beaver, Weaver and Rutland townships.
The agreement is in place until June 30th, 2021.
