Humboldt, Iowa — A public hearing for an amendment to the City of Humboldt budget will go before the Humboldt City Council this evening.
The council will take any public comment on the matter into the fold, the public hearing will be held at approximately 5:30 p.m. this afternoon.
Also on the agenda for the council will be the potential approval of a funding request for the Humboldt-Dakota City Chamber of Commerce in the amount of $3,000 which would be for the July 4th downtown fireworks display.
The council will also entertain the idea of creating an agreement with Jeff Weiss of Weiss Septic Pumping and Hauling out of Barnum.
Weiss would potentially be hired to help with the discharge of effluent into the city sanitary sewer treatment system.
Tonight’s city council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Humboldt City Hall.
