No Citations Issued in Accident at Casey’s Monday Night

Humboldt, Iowa — There was no citations issued and no foul play presented as a result of a Monday accident that left the Casey’s Gas Station in Humboldt picking up their pieces.

According to Humboldt Law Enforcement, the driver of the Chevrolet Suburban that smashed the through the popular gas station chain storefront suffers from an apparent medical condition that diminishes some of the feeling in hands and feet.

According to local police officials, the driver was identified as 59-year-old Louis Fontana, of Humboldt.

Fontana told Humboldt Police that his foot slipped from the brake to the gas pedal.

Neither Fontana or any of the present store clerks were injured as a result of the accident.

Casey’s took an estimated $50,000 worth of damages, however.
