Dakota City, Iowa — The Humboldt High School trap shooting team is looking for new space and the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors might be able to help.
Rick Pedersen spoke to the board Monday and explained the possibility of the trap shooting team using land by the old landfill. The land is plenty far enough from neighboring properties, according to Pedersen.
The trap shooting team has also expressed interest in adding restrooms, shelters and a gate. They would also look at adding fencing.
The board will add it to the agenda moving forward and had “no problems” with the location.
The trap shooting team is looking at anywhere between two and three acres.
