Humboldt, Iowa — Humboldt City Administrator Travis Goedken says the flood waters in Humboldt are the highest he’s seen since taking over as the city leader.
He talks about the preparations the city is doing for the expected river crest on Friday, and what residents of Humboldt can do to protect themselves moving forward.
Sand has been delivered to the south side of the secondary roads hoop shed off of Highway 3, and sandbags are right inside of the hoop shed. Area residents are welcome to come out and fill sandbags for their use in case of flooding.
