Humboldt, Iowa — A Tuesday afternoon crash just north of Humboldt has claimed the life of one individual, while another was airlifted to Des Moines, the Iowa State Patrol reports.
The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m., on Highway 169 — right on, or nearby the Bode-Livermore intersection.
Involved in the accident was a 2016 Fort Mustang, and a 2005 International Semi, the Iowa State Patrol released.
The Mustang was southbound on 169, while the semi was heading north.
According to law enforcement officials, the semi was attempting to turn west onto C20 when the Mustang and semi collided head on.
The accident remains under investigation.
No names are being released to the public as of this time.
Assisting the Iowa State Patrol was the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Humboldt Fire/EMS, and the Bode Fire Department.
