LISTEN: Wildcat Head Football Coach Derrick Elman Talks Expectations for 2018

Humboldt, Iowa — Humboldt Wildcat football embarks on a brand new journey as they head into the 2018 season.

Humboldt will deploy a new head coach — Derrick Elman — and several other new assistants as they try to jump-start a program that finished 3-6 last season.

Humboldt returns key skill players Joey Busse, Jamison Heinz and Tyler Vtizhum, as well as maulers up front in Owen Terwilliger and Owen Newton.

KHBT Sports caught up with Elman for our Thursday sports report, Elman talks about the expectations he’s placed on his ball club prior to the season opener Friday night at home versus Algona.
