From Tonya Heier:
(KHBT) — Workplace Wellness programs have been proven to help lower overall healthcare costs, reduce
absenteeism, increase productivity to name a few. In order to support our local business community in
their Wellness efforts, the new Humboldt Recreation Center will continue to have a Corporate
Membership Program, but it will come with some changes and updates.
There will no longer be an annual fee required for corporate memberships at the Humboldt Recreation
Center. Businesses can become corporate sponsors simply by supplementing the cost of membership for
their employees through payroll deductions and submitting monthly payments to the City of Humboldt
for the entire group of employee memberships.
Employers who wish to be recognized as Corporate Sponsors will be listed in the handbook, on a plaque displayed in the HRC, on the applications, in the newspaper and on the radio whenever advertising goes out to the public if your company so chooses.
Regular monthly membership fees are $40 for single and $50 for family. Company A chooses to pay 50%
of its employees’ membership fees.
Employees who choose a Single membership will have $20 deducted and employees choosing Family memberships will have $25 deducted through their regular payroll process.
Company A will submit one payment to the City of Humboldt for $40 per single and $50 per
family membership included in their plan.
