Dakota City, Iowa — The Highway 3 Bridge east of Humboldt is still expected to open tomorrow, barring any setbacks, Humboldt County Engineer Ben Loots and the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors discussed yesterday.
Last week Loots said he expected the bridge to open around this time, as well.
The bridge has been closed since March of this year, and was expected to re-open by the end of October.
Of course, mother nature hardly every obliges, pushing the re-open date to December, essentially a three-week delay.
United Contractors of Johnston, Iowa was the contractor for the project, totaling north of 2 million dollars.
