Injuries Reported After Car Fails to Yield

Humboldt, Iowa — Multiple injuries reported after a vehicle failed to yield at a stop light.

According to a police report from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday morning Andrea Pachecho, 38, of Humboldt, ran through a flashing red light at the intersection of US 169 and Jerry Hatcher Road.

Pachecho’s vehicle struck a car driven by Dulce Maria Valdez, 37 of Humboldt, who had a flashing yellow light. Pachecho was charged with driving without insurance, driving without a driver’s license, and failure to obey a flashing red signal.

Two passengers, a 7 year old boy and a 13 year old girl, had complaints of injury and were transported to Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
