Humboldt, IA — The Humboldt County Supervisors met for their weekly meeting at the Humboldt County Courthouse yesterday morning.
County Engineer Ben Loots came in to discuss the purchase of a new foreman truck for the Dakota City shop which would be a Chevrolet quad cab truck from Humboldt Motor Sales. Change orders were then approved for the Manatt’s, Inc projects in Hardy and Rutland as the cost exceeded the budget of $50,000 and finished at $66,000.
A preliminary engineering report was then heard about on Drainage District 10 and followed with a bid letting which awarded to Peterson Excavating at $81,145 to remove silt build up. To close drainage a hearing was set for Drainage District 11 sub 5 on September 9th.
County supervisors conversed for almost three hours and ended their meeting with county supervisors Chairman David Lee signing the audit proposal and financial report from TP Anderson & Company, then accepted the Auditor’s Quarterly Report and Treasurer’s semi-annual report to put on file.
