Humboldt, IA — The Humboldt City Council will meet tonight at the Humboldt Municipal Building as many orders of business are to take place.
The consent agenda is up first with approvals for previous minutes, the July Treasurer and investment report, claims, and a new Class B Native Winer Permit for Kathy Davis for Personali-Tees. New business to be attended to tonight is to accept the resignation of Merri Hansen as Animal Control Officer thus terminating her from the position by the city.
Discussion and possible action regarding the proposed animal shelter building, and approve the distribution requests for proposals for a proposed sanitary sewer pipe lining project. Many resolutions are scheduled to follow as the city clerk will be directed to make payments to V&S Variety Store, Humboldt Mutual Insurance Association, Hoag’s Plumbing & Heating, and the American Legion Building as established in the program summaries.
Two payments will be up for approval to Denver Underground & Grading Inc for the Highway 169 and Sumner Avenue intersection project and phase 1 construction of the rec center. Also, a payment will be up for approval to Sande Construction for the Downtown Revitalization Project.
Tonight’s city council meeting is at 5:30 at the Humboldt Municipal and is open to the public.
