Humboldt County caucus unaudited results

Humboldt, IA – Unaudited results from Monday night’s caucus is now available.

While the state of Iowa struggles with problems of receiving results from the caucuses going on Monday night, the County of Humboldt Democrats have reported their unaudited results to KHBT.

The First Alignment results by precinct show Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg as the leaders receiving 27.3% of the selections. In 3rd is Amy Klobuchar with 18.6%. Delegates by precinct give Buttigieg a slight advantage as he receives 32.6% over Biden with 30.4%.

According to the Des Moines Register almost 71% of the states precincts have reported their results. Pete Buttigieg sits on top of the state with 26.8% of the delegates followed by Bernie Sanders in second with 25.2%. Elizabeth Warren falls in third for the Iowa Democratic Caucuses with 18.4% of the delegates.

Humboldt County Democrats held caucus for all nine precincts at Taft Elementary school. There were approximately 240 Humboldt County Democrats that met on Monday for the caucus, which is an increase over the 2016 numbers. 53 of caucus participants represented new Democratic voter registrations.

The Humboldt County Republican held their caucus at the Sathers Odgaard VFW in Dakota City. President Donald Trump received 98% of total votes from Humboldt County Republicans caucus night and 97.1% of the State of Iowa’s votes.
