Humboldt, IA – Humboldt CSD is asking families with children in school to complete a state survey to inform and secure funds to improve district technology.
The Humboldt Community School District is asking for parents and families of the district to complete a state wide survey. Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for the district, Tamela J. Johnson says the survey asks about technology access for households. The information will help in planning for next school year should learning from home need to occur because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The survey should only take about five minutes to complete and only be taken one time for an entire house hold. Responses should only include student who will be in grades preschool through 12 or are participating in post-secondary education during the 2020-21 school year. The survey will best be used to inform the state on technology barriers that might exist in the community.
Completion of the survey could help the district receive addition funding from the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief to help improve remote learning and technology for the schools. Families will be receiving a link to the survey through Infinite Campus and can be found on the Humboldt Community School District website homepage.
The survey will be available until June 24 at bit.ly/iowatechsurvey.
