Wildcats baseball drop their season opener

Fort Dodge, IA – Humboldt Baseball falls as the Wildcats travel to Fort Dodge to face St. Edmond to open up the seasons.

Monday, June 15, Humboldt High School Baseball started their season off with a loss to St. Edmond, final score of 3-1. It was a pitchers duel between the two starting pitchers before an error in the bottom of the fourth inning opened the door for a three run frame for St. Edmond. Humboldt failed to get a hit, their one run was scored by Caden Matson who was hit by a pitch and scored after a couple of pass balls allowed him to round the bases.

  • St. Edmond Pitcher Cael Kolacia recorded eleven strikeouts while not allowing a hit in over five inning pitched
