Humboldt County, IA – No injuries reported after a minor fender bender occurs on Highway 169 Wednesday afternoon.

Chief Deputy Cory Lampe of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office reports a two car incident. His report states that on Wednesday, July 22, that Thomas Block, 50, of Panora and Margaret Hough, 68, of Dakota City were southbound on Highway 169. As the drivers approached the intersection of 260th, a car ahead of Block was stopped to turn east. Block began to slow as they approached the car ahead but Hough didn’t notice Block slowing. The action resulted in the right front of Hough’s black Ford Focus to strike the left rear of Block’s blue Chevrolet Malibu.

The incident resulted in minor damages to both vehicles that were driven away from the scene. No injuries were reported by Chief Deputy Lampe at the time of the incident. A citation for failure to maintain control was given to Hough.
