Humboldt, IA – No injuries reported following a two car incident in Humboldt at the intersection of Highway 169 and Wildcat Road.
Officer David Jones of the Humboldt Police Department reports on the two car incident. His report states that on Friday, Aug. 14 Glen Larsen, 69 of Clare, was northbound on Hwy 169 approaching the four way stop at the intersection with Wildcat Rd. The driver stated that he was behind a slow moving combine that was taking up both lanes. At the same time, James Jennings, 66 of Humboldt, was west bound and stopped at the intersection. The report states that Jennings was stopped at the intersection as the combine drove through. Larsen proceeded to follow the combine through the intersection after he stopped but as he went through the passenger rear of his red Dodge R15 was struck by the front of Jennings’ red Ram 150.
The incident resulted in minor damages to both vehicles that were driven away from the scene. No injuries were reported by Officer Jones as a result of the incident.
