Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office charges a Humboldt man with two misdemeanors following a 10 month investigation.
Announced via a release from the Humboldt County Law Enforcement Center, on Friday, Aug. 14, Logan Shaw, 30 of Humboldt was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Charges were from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and are both aggravated misdemeanors.
The investigation began back on Oct. 2, 2019. Members of the county’s sheriff’s office and Humboldt Police Department assisted the Fort Dodge/Webster County Cyber Crimes Unit in the execution of a warrant at a Humboldt property. During the search warrant, numerous pieces of evidence were seized and submitted for analysis.
All charges are a result of the investigation following the execution of the warrant in 2019. Shaw has been cited and released with a future court date. The local law enforcement reminds all that all defendants should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
