Humboldt County, Gilmore City sign a law enforcement agreement

Dakota City, IA – Humboldt County is providing law enforcement and emergency services to Gilmore City following renewal of an agreement.

During a recent meeting of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors they were present with the 28E agreement with Gilmore City. This agreement to provide law enforcement and emergency services within the incorporated city limits. The services will be conducted by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. This includes all requested police services, non-emergency and 9-1-1 will come through the Humboldt Dispatch Center.

Similar to the 28E agreements reported by KHBT the compensation is based on a per capita base based on the 2010 census. The 28E agreement with Gilmore City was approved by the County Board of Supervisors unanimously.
