Humboldt varsity XC collects two top ten team finishes during home invitational

Humboldt, IA – Humboldt High School Varsity Cross Country continues their season by hosting the Humboldt invitational.

On Monday, Sept. 21, Sheldon Park in Humboldt played host the the Humboldt Cross Country Invitational. For the home team Wildcats it was a strong showing who would once against place top ten in their boys and girls meets.

For the boys they finished second as a team to Gilbert. As the trend for the Wildcats, Quinton Orr led the way with the individual win with a team of 16:22. Teammate Eric Wittrock finished second with a time of 17:33.

For the Humboldt varsity girls team they finished sixth as a team with a score of 204. Humboldt was led by Kali Beaman who finished with a time of 23:55 just ahead of teammate Allison Hoag who had a time of 23:56.

Humboldt High School Cross County will continue their season next Monday, Sept. 28. The meet for the Wildcats will be on the road in Algona at the River Road Golf Course.
