Ballard, IA – Quinton Orr’s record setting day highlights Humboldt High School’s cross country efforts at the Ballard Invitational.
On Monday, Sept. 14, the Humboldt Wildcats boys and girls cross country teams took part in a meet at Ballard. After not having a meet the week before due to weather the team was happy to get back into action.
For the boys the finished the meet fifth as a team out of eleven teams in attendance. For the third straight meet the Wildcats have participated in Quinton Orr led the way with the individual race win with a time of 15:42. *The time by Orr is a new school record, breaking the previous record of 15:52 that he set during the state meet in the fall of 2019.

For the Humboldt girls team they finished 10 in the meet out of the 12 schools in attendance. The top placing Wildcat was Kali Beaman who finished with a time of 23:35.
