Six road projects in Humboldt County set for the start of 2021

Dakota City, IA – Humboldt County Secondary Roads is lining up road work for the start of the 2021 calendar year.

During a recent meeting of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors the board approved six different projects to be completed once the weather is suitable in 2021. Engineer Ben Loots presented the projects to the board.

There are a total of six projects that the secondary roads department presented. The first was a bridge replacement southeast of Thor on Washington Avenue. The bridge is going to be replaced with an eight by eight foot box culvert and be a joint effort with the Iowa Department of Transportation. The other five projects are going to be asphalt overlay projects in various places across the county.

The board of supervisors approved all projects as presented to them by the engineer.
