Compliance check results in 10 charged with underage possession

Livermore, IA – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the results of an compliance check conducted on Saturday.

Announce via a release from the County’s Law Enforcement Center at approximately 11 pm on Nov. 21 the Humboldt County’s Sheriff’s Office Conducted a compliance check at the former Barney’s Bar in Livermore. The check was as a result of complaints of frequent underage drinking.

As a result of the check 10 underage individuals were charged with underage possession of alcohol, a simple misdemeanor:

  • Hunter Egdorf, 20, Dakota City
  • Elijah Torres, 20, Humboldt
  • Autumn Babcock, 18, Wesley
  • Olivia Kajewski, 18, Johnston
  • Calista Bernhard, 20, Corwith
  • Colton Cheever, 20, Britt
  • Elijah Sande, 20, Humboldt
  • Emily Ryerson, 18, Britt
  • Joshua Kline, 20, Britt
  • Garrett Foth, 19, Livermore

Additional, following the check, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop north of LuVerne. As a result of the stop, Austin Brown, 19, of Britt was charged with underage possession of alcohol.  Steven Rodriguez, 21, of Thompson was charged with open container of alcohol. They admitted to being at the former’s Barney’s Bar as well.

As with every case all defendants should be considered innocent until proven guilt.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and the Humboldt County Attorney’s Office.
