Humboldt boys wrestling places third, crown two champs at Joe Fitch Invitational

Humboldt, IA – Humboldt High School Boys wrestling enjoys a moderate amount of success as they participate in their first tournament of the new season.

On Friday, Dec. 4, the Humboldt boys wrestling team hosted the Joe Fitch Invitational at both Humboldt Middle and High School. As a team the Wildcats finished third in the point standings with 227 points (nine back of Atlantic in first).

Two Humboldt wrestlers placed first at the invitational (record):

  • 132 Jase Goodell (4-0)
  • 138 Colby Clarken (4-0)

Three Wildcats placed second:

  • 152 Jordan Jensen (3-1)
  • 160 Fletcher Satern (3-1)
  • 285 Brady Marsh (2-2)

Three Wildcats placed third:

  • 113 Jayden Gargano (3-1)
  • 120 DJ Muir (3-1)
  • 132 Ty Gargano (3-1)

Two Wildcats placed fourth:

  • 106 Aden Prenger (2-2)
  • 220 Colten Goodell (2-2)

Three Wildcats placed fifth:

  • 126 Dusty Pate (2-2)
  • 170 Christian Alcala (2-2)
  • 182 Tanner McKimmey (2-2)

Five Wildcats placed sixth:

  • 106 Zander Dugan (1-3)
  • 120 Jaxon Martin (1-3)
  • 145 Joe Weydert (1-3)

  • 195 Kyle Caquelin (1-3)

One Wildcat placed seventh:

  • 195 Christian Lee (1-3)

Three Wildcats placed eighth:

  • 182 Colby Caquelin (0-4)

Humboldt boys wrestling will return next Thursday, Dec. 10 at home. It’s triangular that include two other North Central Conference teams in St. Edmond and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. The action is scheduled to start at 6 pm.
