Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt community is coming together once again to help one of their own.
Mike Kehoe was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer in August 2020 and his family and friends are organizing a fundraiser to help offset his medical bills. The fundraiser, called “Team Kehoe” has a goal of $20,000, but any amount helps.
According to the Go Fund Me page, Kehoe initially thought he was having a heart attack and drove himself to his doctor’s office. After being sent to the ER and having multiple tests taken, it was determined Kehoe had a mass in his left lung. After “many more tests, scans, and conversations among several doctors,” he was diagnosed with cancer.
Kehoe is a “great friend, father, brother, and son” and loves to “make other people happy.”
Team Kehoe asks community members to help in any way they can; by donating or simply spreading the word.
More information can be found at Team Kehoe’s GoFundMe page.
