Possible injuries after SUV rolls Wednesday morning

Humboldt County, IA – Possible injuries suspected after slick road conditions cause a vehicle to roll.

Chief Deputy Corey Lampe of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office files the report on the single car incident. The report says that on Wednesday, Jan. 6, Mainor Herrera, 39, of Hampton was eastbound on Highway 3 during the mid-morning. As the driver approached the 1300 mile the he lost control of his 1997 Chevrolet Blazer due to the slick icy conditions. The vehicle entered the north ditched and rolled before coming to a stop partially on the passenger’s side.

The incident resulted in severe damages to the Blazer that was towed away from the scene. Chief Deputy Lampe reports Herrera complained of some pain but refused treatment. Driver was cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license.
