Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt County Law Enforcement Center is asking residents to be on the lookout for spam calls that ask for an individual’s personal information.

According to a Facebook post from the LEC, numerous calls were made telling people that their “social security number has been compromised.” The caller says to press “one” to proceed.

The LEC says to not push “one” and “simply hang up.”
The LEC says to pass this information on to elderly neighbors, friends, and family.
