Eagle Grove, IA – The names involved in the February 16 homicide in Eagle Grove have been released.
According to a report from the Iowa Department of Public Safety the victim of the fatal stabbing is identified as Wayne Smith, 50, of Fort Dodge.
The suspect has been identified as Lukouxs Brown, 26, of Fort Dodge. Brown has been charged with First-Degree Murder and is in custody in the Wright County Jail. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 17.
As previously reported the Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to the a report of a stabbing at Prestage Foods in Eagle Grove on Feb. 16. Upon arrival the deputies found the deceased inside the employee locker room area.
As with every case the suspect should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
