Carlson wins individual NCC title, Humboldt girls’ golf places second

Mason City, IA – On Monday, May 10, Humboldt High School girls’ golf placed second in the North Central Conference Tournament at the Mason City Country Club.

The course par for an 18 hole game is 72 – top four individual scores per team making up their score.

As a team, Humboldt scored 99 over par to finish runner-up. Clear Lake won the conference championship at +67. Iowa Falls-Alden placed third at +112.

Humboldt’s Nora Carlson was the individual conference champion with a score of four over par. Her score is a school record of an 18 hole game. Noelle Hamand also medal with an eighth place finish, scoring +28.

The next meet for Humboldt girls’ golf will be Regionals on May 24 at the Waverly Municipal Golf Course.
